One week!

Happy one-week birthday to Miles today! I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with an excessive number of proud-parent pictures. Here we go...

We had a great time having Grandma and Grandpa Pimentel here - they're first-time grandparents since Miles was born. They were a tremendous help, taking care of non-baby things so that we could take care of baby things. They seemed to step right into the grandparent role, too, being sweet to their new grandson and enjoying every minute.

More Miles

We know what you want....pictures and more pictures. Here they are. As for an update, Miles is doing great. He doesn't sleep that well when he isn't being held. That makes nights tough. But that is to be expected with a 4 day old baby. Today he sat with Roger for about an hour and a half, totally awake and alert. It was awesome. We both love staring at him and could probably do it for days and days. We have stopped using newborn diapers and let's just be honest...newborn clothes never really fit.

More pictures! We're home from the hospital now, and everything's going great.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

It's a great day! We're pleased to announce the arrival of Miles Roger Pimentel, at 11:42 this morning. He weighed 9 lbs., 2 oz. at birth, and was 21 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great, and we're pretty excited to have him around!

Hopefully these are the last pictures of Anne being pregnant. We went to the beach today with her sisters who are in town. We think the baby is coming soon, so keep posted.
