It's been a while

So, I'm not so good at this blogging stuff. Oops.

We've done a lot since I last wrote. I finally got a job! I'll be working at the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. It will just be office work and digitizing some material. It pays pretty well and will be good, mainly because I will be able to get out of the house. It's very flexible too, which will be nice. And I work in a cubicle.


We went down to San Diego with my dad, who was in town with my mom to bring us the rest of my stuff. It was great to be on the BYU side of the football game (there were more BYU fans than SDSU) and to watch us win.






Roger and I both got new phones and numbers. He got a great little phone called the Shadow. His number is 714.230.9513





I got a snazzy little phone, very similar to Roger's. It's called Blast. It makes me think of Erin every time. Oh blast! It's also red, so I love it. My new number is 714.230.9514. Yeah, we're one number off.




Jasmine came down to visit and see the play Wicked, so we got to watch her little boy Siah while she was gone. It was so fun! We took him back up to Hollywood after the play was over. As a thank you for watching Siah, Jazzie and Daniel had their hotel room extended, so we got to spend the night in Hollywood. The next morning we woke up and went and did a little exploring. We walked over to Mann's theater where the hand and foot prints are, and we also walked with the stars. Here are some pictures.

We came upon a little group of people protesting with the Writers Guild. I could have sworn Steven Spielberg was there. He was...








You can't tell in this picture, but the famous Hollywood sign on the side of the mountain is behind us. It might be covered by Roger's head. But it is there.







We have a few little Christmas decorations up. I finally got to use the tree ornaments I bought in Romania, Hungary, and Austria! There are also a couple from El Salvador. Here's our tree.







That's the update for us! We will be with Roger's family for Christmas! We're gearing up for lots of laughs and good times! We hope you all have an amazing Christmas, a feliz Navidad. and a happy New Year!

Thanksgiving and Mexican adventures!!

This year, we went down to San Diego for Thanksgiving to be with my Uncle Scott's family. Good times were had by all.

The day after was an adventure for sure. Roger and I headed down to Ensenada, Mexico with my uncle, his wife, and my cousin Aubry. We started out at the fish market, which wasn't my favorite, but was...educational. Then we went to the touristy area
and shopped around for a while. We had a great time. Here are
some pictures to prove it.






We took this picture mainly for Brooke because we knew she
would appreciate their twist.






We got serenaded during lunch. It was the most amazing show of toothless, toneless men singing and playing their instruments. Priceless.









We found this sign to be very entertaining.








For some reason these felt pictures are really big down there. "Luckily", we found one of Jose Smith...next to Bob Marley (smoking of course), and above Elvis. That's quality right there.






This picture is pretty dark, but it is to prove that we were actually in Mexico. You can't hide much with such a HUGE flag.









You can't really see what we wanted to show in this picture so I will explain it. The statue is of a FAT skeleton. In one hand, she is holding a hamburger and in the other she has a beer and a crack pipe. The sign on her says, "Keep smoking and we will be together very soon." It was pretty awesome.






This is near the beach. We went to an awesome restaurant called La Fonda that was located just above the beach. It had an amazing view and was complete with chickens walking around inside the restaurant. Awesome.





It's kind of hard to tell what this is, so another explanation is in store. This was Roger's dish...not mine. So it starts with shrimp, stuffed with fresh crab. This meaty wonder was taken and wrapped in bacon...yes bacon. The entire thing was covered in some sort of cheese sauce. You would be correct to assume that Roger was in heaven.




I am sorry if this is offensive to anyone. I think it is really funny. This crazy latino man is constructing a house which doesn't consist of a roof and 4 walls. It consists of a NUDE WOMAN. Supposedly he has been working on it for 10 years or so. As you can see in the picture, it isn't anywhere near completion, but it is a sight to see for sure. I am sure it will be a national landmark soon. Ha.




The sun was setting as we drove home to San Diego. Oddly enough, we got to see more of Mexico in the night time than we thought we would. My uncle seemed to miss every exit possible for the border, so we drove around lost for a good hour and a half. Luckily we found it and are not stuck in Mexico. Olé.

Things we like about Scranton...uh...Stanton

Here is a list of things we have come to enjoy so far:

1. There are many good motels near our apartment. We have seen these so far: Mot, el, M..tel, Mote, and a normal Motel.


2. As Roger was driving to work one day, he made an amazing discovery. He passed a cemetery with normal headstones, but this cemetery suddenly turned into a VEGETABLE GARDEN. There were suddenly rows of vegetables being grown right in the cemetery. We decided they must be growing HEADS of lettuce and cabbage, KIDNEY beans, FINGER potatoes, and EARS of corn. Ha.



3. On our first day here, Roger was taking me to his office and we passed two awesome roads. Bolsa Chica and Old Bolsa Chica. I almost died laughing.





4. Living in a "big" city has its perks. There are lots of bright signs and lights. The perk is that sometimes, not all of those lights and signs work properly. We have started playing a game reading those now humorous signs. They might read: ite Aid (for every manner of -ite), dy's (instead of Wendy's), no's (instead of Domino's), ners (Dry Cleaners), der's (Linder's) and Sun D nuts (Sun Donuts). It has quite easily become our favorite game. (This sign reads The New J....Canc Center. Gotta love the Canc Center.)

A first among many

Roger and I are having many firsts together these days, so we thought we would add a blog to the mix. This way you can all be up to date with our happenings...like the 500 kids we're going to work on having. We hope you enjoy The Anger Blog.
